In December, Cathay Pacific announced its newest route, and I’m so excited.
As of fall 2018, passengers will be able to fly direct from Washington, DC (IAD) to Hong Kong!
This brings the international destinations served by DC-area airports to 57, and the 4th destination in East Asia, the others being Tokyo, Beijing and Seoul.
Flights from IAD to Hong Kong will operate four times a week, beginning in September 2018.
A quick google flight search revealed a round trip price of $1,200, with the flying time of a whopping 15 hours 55 minutes.
